High Speed Weather — Weather Radar of US

This video shows weather over large areas and at high speeds, and presented in this form, weather becomes an intriguing visual phenomenon. This is not the normal experience of weather, of “today it is raining in Boston”. Rather the patterns almost appear alive. Bands and buddies that dance and dart, as weather systems unfold over a week and a across continent. The images were taken from intellicast.com radar loops over the course of a year, a frame every 30 minutes. Each frame is displayed for 1/30′th of a second, yielding a year of weather played in 10 minutes. THE EARTH IS ALIVE! ENJOY THE WONDER! New SWIFT Mobile Provides Live Weather Radar and Customized Severe Weather Alerts on Mobile Devices with Internet Connection

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) February 26, 2007

SWIFT Weather (www.swiftweather.com) announced today the company will release the new SWIFT Mobile on March 31, 2007 – the most comprehensive weather tracking tool specifically designed for use with handheld devices. The new software will run on Windows Mobile devices, including: Motorola Q; Palm Treo; Samsung BlackJack; and T-Mobile Dash, SDA, and MDA.

“SWIFT Mobile will provide users of handheld devices the unique opportunity to know more than the local weatherman – and know it first,” said Rory Groves, CEO of SWIFT Weather. “With the ability to combine multiple layers of weather data – including radar, cloud imagery, and severe weather warnings for blizzards, hurricanes, hail, wind, or tornadoes – the average person will no longer be at the mercy of local weather service reports on radio and TV – which is invaluable. An audible ring-tone and display on the handheld device allows the consumer to learn first-hand of the location of the weather threat – and the estimated time of its arrival to their current location. This will be an indispensable tool for business professionals who travel frequently, the construction industry, emergency management teams, anyone involved in work outdoors – and the average person who needs advanced notice of severe weather to safeguard their property and loved ones.”

In addition, the new SWIFT Mobile delivers daily forecasts based on location; weather data can be animated to show activity over the previous hour; and a desktop display of current weather conditions provide an at-a-glance weather profile.

SWIFT Mobile will be available starting March 31, 2007 and retails for $ 10.95 per month for the Standard Edition and $ 13.95 per month for the Premium Edition. For more information, visit www.swiftmobile.net
