The Punta Cana weather provides a winter where the temperature range is from 29°C to 20°C. The humidity during this time of the year that goes from November to April is very low. That means very low chance of rain and very mild temperatures. The reigning blue skies and shining sun make this one the favorite times of the year for vacationing in Punta Cana. Since Punta Cana is located in the eastern coast the weather, there is mostly hot even in the colder months but the typical difference of two or three degrees from summer is quite worth it.

The hurricanes that can develop in the Caribbean are a major point of consideration when thinking of vacationing here. These powerful storms appear during the hurricane season that goes from June to November but typically the months of greater risk for the area of Punta Cana are August, September and October. The hurricanes that affect the area usually have a hit rate lower than one per year, so as long you keep an eye on the weather reports you can vacation there even during the summer. Weather in Punta Cana can be tricky but one of the best tips for going there is to use winter time to avoid any hurricane risk and to have a very comfortable temperature.

Reliable Weather Information for Beijing Olympics with Vaisala Weather Observation Equipment

Helsinki, Finland — Reliable weather information plays a key role at Beijing Olympics. To provide accurate and versatile weather information to the organizers and athletes, the Beijing Meteorological Offices (Aviation Meteorological Office and Civil Meteorological Bureau) have upgraded their weather observation network in the metropolitan area with Vaisala equipment. New weather equipment has also been installed at the main stadium and other venues.

During the past two years, Vaisala has delivered 25 weather stations, 21 road weather stations, an aviation weather solution, two windprofilers and several weather transmitters and present weather instruments to the local Beijing Meteorological Offices. The total value of the deliveries is 3.5 million euros. The new equipment will continue to serve as part of the metropolitan weather observation network after the Olympics.

Precise weather information at the venues

Reliable information about current weather conditions as well as on approaching fronts is essential at the venues. Vaisala’s compact weather transmitters are located at various venues to provide precise, real-time temperature, humidity, pressure, precipitation and wind data. Additional present weather and visibility instruments serve athletes and organizers at the tennis center and rowing stadium. The new automatic weather station at the main Olympic stadium is part of the regional weather observation network that measures approaching large-scale weather fronts and transmits the information to the Beijing Meteorological Offices for forecasting purposes.

Smooth traffic flow prerequisite for successful games

The news programs and dailies usually have weather information. It is because the weather is very vital to our lives. Schedules would depend on the weather. Our type of activities would depend on the weather. Actually, there are parts of the world where they depend their livelihood moves on the kind weather. If it would be rainy, the men goes to the farm to plow and to plant crops. If the weather report says that the following day will be sunny, they would be going out to the sea to fish because lands will be too hard to till.

The physical education workshop of the children would also be affected by the weather report. If the report would say that it would be warm today and the sun would be up in the sky, the swimmers would be practicing their laps. Volleyball teams would be up against each other in the court outside the classrooms. The groups would not be able to have barbecue outside if there would be rain.

The weather information is an integral part of any one who goes sailing, may he be a sailor, a passenger or just a dispatcher at the sea port. The citizens in the mountain needs those goods such as clothes and fishes in order to have nutrients that are lacking in their area. The low lands also needed the vegetables and the hard furniture from the high lands.

Of course, the most important reason why we need to monitor our weather is to prepare for the possible catastrophes that may come. The people have to strengthen their homes. Some need to go to evacuation centers. People has to store food because there would be nothing to eat during flood and brownouts. It happened lots of times so, people already learned the lesson.
